The Sheung Wan Sewing Squad brings together a diverse group of mothers, retirees, and elderly residents from the neighbourhood. This dedicated team has the opportunity to receive professional training in providing alteration services to the community, creating high-quality products, and hosting engaging public workshops. Our goal is to empower residents by equipping them with valuable sewing skills, enabling them to contribute to the community while fostering flexible employment opportunities.

Clothes Alteration

星期一至五 | MON-FRI | 9am-1pm

補衫服務隊將接受專業改衫培訓，並提供實惠的改衣服務，旨在幫助社區街坊修補衣物。我們明白衣物背後的情感價值，因此致力於延長珍愛物品的壽命，無論是修補鈕扣、縫補破損處還是調整尺寸，通過一針一線，用心連結社區的每一位成員。透過恆常的服務，我們期望創造一個溫暖的空間，讓大家不僅可以修補衣物，還可以進行有意義的互動交流。

Our Alteration Service Team undergoes professional training to provide affordable alteration services, helping community members repair and refurbish their garments. We understand the value and stories behind each piece of garment and strive to extend the life of cherished items through careful repairs, whether it's fixing buttons, mending tears, or adjusting sizes. Our aim is to create a warm and inviting space for meaningful interactions, where people can have their clothes repaired while fostering a sense of community.

縫紉學徒班
Community Sewing Apprentice

星期一至五 | MON-FRI | 9am-1pm

「上環補補」提供縫紉學徒班，讓有興趣學習縫紉技巧的街坊有機會進行深入學習。學徒班將由專業師傅指導，幫助學員們掌握基礎縫紉及針黹技能。我們期盼提供一個鼓勵性的學習環境，讓這些學徒班不僅是獲取縫紉知識和技能的場所，還是與其他對縫紉有興趣的街坊建立支援網絡的地方。

We offer community sewing apprenticeships, providing an opportunity for kaifongs interested in learning and developing sewing skills. Guided by seasoned masters, these classes help participants acquire basic sewing and needlework skills. We are dedicated to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment so that these classes not only provide a platform to gain sewing knowledge and skills, but also foster connections and the sharing of experiences among like-minded individuals passionate about sewing.

公眾工作坊
Public Workshops

「上環補補」期望舉辦公眾工作坊，邀請大眾體驗縫紉的樂趣，並與「上環補補」的成員交流。這些工作坊有機會涵蓋各種縫紉相關主題，如縫紉、刺繡等。透過這些活動，參加者可以互相學習和分享彼此的經驗和創意。

We also organise public workshops that offer opportunities to delve into a range of sewing-related topics, including hand sewing, and embroidery techniques. These engaging activities allow public members to experience the fun of sewing, and foster mutual exchange, learning, and the sharing of experiences and creativity among participants and sewing squad members.
